Jameducation: Nate is an intelligently self-taught musician. He tried taking lessons as a child, but the pace and style did not suit him, so he turned to YouTube and other resources to work his way to musical mastery! A talented musician, from a musical family, Nate researched and studied music theory and technique and was able to create his own curriculum that both progressively challenged his abilities and kept him engaged and excited to learn. He now plays in several professional groups throughout the Greater Boston area and also works as a recording artist.
How Nate jams with you: Considering his failed attempt with lessons, as a child, Nate brings a unique perspective and laser focus on student-led learning to his lessons. He does not subscribe to the “cookie cutter” method of standard repertoire, but instead adapts any and all music his students are currently engaged with to suit whatever they’re working on, be it technique, music foundations or theory. In this manner, Nate’s students progress from learning the basics to feeling comfortable and confident on their instrument, all while maintaining a sense of ownership over their own musical journey.
