Student jams: At the age of 9, Julie began singing in choirs and playing musical instruments, later becoming part of several musical groups in college, including University Chorale, Recital Choir, and Chamber Choir. In 2014, she performed with the Chamber Choir at the America Choral Directors Association conference in Baltimore and went on to tour in Europe as a singer. Julie graduated from University of Massachusetts Amherst with a degree in Music Education with a concentration in voice.
Past jams: Julie musically directed Grease and The Lion King for a summer camp in Connecticut and assisted/played percussion in the pit for the Mary Poppins and The Wizard of Oz productions. She has also conducted the pit for the show Back to the 80s.
How will she jam with you? Julie taught chorus, band, and general music classes within the school districts of Holbrook and Hudson, Massachusetts. She has extensive experience instructing privately and most enjoys teaching musical theater, folk, and classical music.
