Sickness and Conflict Cancellations
In the event that you need to cancel and reschedule an upcoming lesson, please utilize this form to notify the office and your teacher.
All cancellations made by a family (regardless of how far in advance they are made) must be rescheduled within 14 days of the original lesson date and are not eligible for a refund. Your teacher will offer two reasonable make-up options to reschedule the lesson. Examples of these options include: moving to a virtual lesson, adding 15 minutes to future lessons, or an entirely new day and time. If you are unable to attend those make-up opportunities, you will be charged for the missed lesson. We do not offer refunds or credits for canceled or missed lessons.
No shows (lessons where the student is not on site for a lesson) will be charged and are not eligible for make-up lessons, credit or refunds.
Cancellations made on the same day as the lesson (less than 12 hours notice) are considered “late cancels” and will be charged and are not eligible for make-up lessons, credit or refunds, except in the case of sickness.
Inclement Weather Cancellations
Cancellations due to inclement weather are at the discretion of the teacher even in the event that public schools are canceled. Your teacher will notify you if they plan to teach in your home or if they are only offering virtual lessons. Families are not required to convert to virtual lessons and may opt to skip and receive a credit instead. If your teacher is available to teach in-person but you decide to cancel, the lesson will not be refunded or made up.
Teacher Cancellations
Any lesson canceled by the teacher will be refunded unless a make-up is able to be scheduled.
Discontinuing Lessons
We bill on a monthly basis. To permanently discontinue lessons, please notify the office no later than the 25th of the previous month. If notification of discontinuation of lessons happens mid-month, we will not refund for the remaining month’s lessons. You can choose to have the lesson or skip without a refund.
To temporarily discontinue lessons for extenuating circumstances (i.e. broken wrist), please contact the office to discuss opportunities. We cannot guarantee the same day, time and teacher when a hiatus in lessons of more than two weeks takes place. We will always do our best to accommodate student preferences and scheduling.
Supervision
A parent or legal guardian must be on site for the duration of every in-home lesson. Your teacher will not begin a lesson if there is no parent or guardian in the home and no refund or credit will be granted.
Lessons held virtually do not require an adult on site.
Registration
A $45 non-refundable annual registration fee will be charged at time of enrollment.
To secure and finalize your Fall registration, a $100 deposit is necessary. These funds will be applied to the first month’s invoice.
