HIGH-ENERGY & INTIMIDATION FREE

Jammin With You seeks to foster a lifelong love of music and arts by providing entertaining, modern, high quality music education to children and families.

Why choose Jammin With You?

WE ARE TUNED IN

We empower our teachers to find connections with students that fuel their love of music. Backed by our Program & Performance Center in Wellesley, all teachers have access to thousands of songs, books and music accessories to support you and your child through your own musical journeys. We customize our private lessons to your child’s music tastes and learning style. After all, we believe students can learn the notes of the staff just as effectively from Star Wars sheet music as they can from Mozart. Learn more about private music lessons.

UNPLUGGED

We’re re-writing the concept of kids’ music education with REAL INSTRUMENTS and really good songs. Our kids jam on actual instruments along to our teachers performing live in class, not on a CD or digital playlist. We encourage infants and children to touch and interact with the real thing because it does make a difference. Our music programming is fueled by the music of Josh & the Jamtones, the ‘kindie’ band founded and led by Jammin With You Owner Josh Shriber.

AND READY TO JAM!

Our studio is a high-energy but INTIMIDATION-FREE space that nurtures and inspires children, teens and adults. We intentionally designed our Wellesley studio to be an inviting, creative performance space. It’s home to our Winter and Summer SuperJAMs, our biannual performances for all students in the Greater Boston area. Structured more like an open mic night than a formal concert, the SuperJAM format builds students’ confidence without as much pressure as other venues. Focusing on one piece to showcase their new skills gives your student a sense of accomplishment and also shows parents, friends and family the culmination of hard work and dedication throughout the year. OUR
BEGINNING

Jammin With You was founded in 2008 by master song-chef and professional goofball, Josh Shriber, as a way to share his love of music and contagious sense of humor with his family, friends, and community in the Greater Boston and New York areas.

Thousands of students and hundreds of classes later, Jammin With You is an ever-growing family of musicians and teachers set on sharing the gift of music, performance, and creativity — all fueled by the music and inspiration of Josh & the Jamtones.

statement of equality

  • Jammin With You firmly believes that Black Lives Matter.
  • We strongly condemn racism, bigotry, prejudice, discrimination and hatred. We stand with our friends, teachers and students of every race, and nationality. We stand with you, we mourn with you and we will fight for you.
  • Jammin With You is in the business of enriching the lives of children and families. Our children’s future will be built on the work we do and the foundation we lay right now.
  • Recent videos of George Floyd and Ahmad Arbery’s deaths (just to sadly name a few) are heart wrenching and extremely difficult to watch. They continue to dominate news and social networks, in plain sight for our children to watch.
  • Parents must be proactive. Talk to your children about these events. It’s heartbreaking. It’s scary. It’s horrifying. But if we shield our children from what’s happening and what’s been happening, it will continue to happen! For those who grieve, we grieve with you.
  • Jammin With You remains steadfast in our mission to bring music to children and families in every neighborhood, every city and every community possible regardless of race, income or status. We recognize that we need to do better.
  • Jammin With You will immediately work to recruit more racially diverse teachers and we’ll be starting a scholarship fund for racially diverse families in underfunded school systems to receive music enrichment and lessons.
